What Can You Make with VersiFlex?

Cotton and natural fabrics

Use VersiFlex Light paper for white and light cotton, linen, canvas and suitable blends.

Selected uncoated surfaces

Decorate compatible uncoated wood, stone, slate, ceramic and specialty surfaces.

Sublimation blanks

Use sublimation paper for polyester apparel, coated mugs, drinkware, signs and polymer-coated hard goods.

Color limitation: VersiFlex does not print white ink. Best on white or light materials. Test unfamiliar products before production.

How the system works

VersiFlex Ink, Expander and Transfer Paper

CMY + clear Expander

The ink set uses cyan, magenta, yellow and a clear Expander cartridge to enable transfer to cotton and natural surfaces.

Choose paper by material

Use VersiFlex Light for cotton and compatible uncoated products. Use sublimation paper for polyester and coated blanks.

Print, press and peel

Follow current Sawgrass heat-press settings. No DTF powder shaker, curing oven, vinyl cutting or weeding is required.

Keep the printer dedicated

Do not switch between VersiFlex, SubliJet UHD or EasySubli inks. Contamination can reduce quality and damage the printer.

Can VersiFlex print on cotton?

Yes. With VersiFlex ink and VersiFlex Light paper, it can decorate white and light-colored cotton and natural fabrics.

Can VersiFlex also make mugs and sublimation products?

Yes. Use sublimation paper and the correct profile for polyester and polymer-coated blanks.

Should I choose the SG500 or SG1000?

Choose the SG500 for compact production up to 8.5 x 14 inches. Choose the SG1000 for 11 x 17 output or optional 13 x 19 printing.

Does VersiFlex work on dark shirts?

It has no white ink, so dark fabrics can alter or hide the design. Light materials are more predictable.

Can I convert a SubliJet printer to VersiFlex?

No. Keep the printer dedicated to its original ink system. Switching ink chemistry can contaminate the lines and damage the printhead.
